Girls Initiatives

The YWCA NYC Girls Initiatives is designed to support and empower high school aged girls and gender expansive youth in New York City to reach their full potential. We offer free programs in the Summer, Fall, and Spring across topics in financial literacy, entrepreneurship, college and career readiness, art activism, social justice ambassadorship, and more!

After School Programs

The YWCA NYC’s After School programs create a safe and nurturing environment designed to support academic achievement, enhance social skills and foster success in school and life.

We operate elementary and middle school programs for children in K through 8th grade in Central Harlem, Carroll Gardens, Coney Island and Brownsville, Brooklyn. Our staff of diverse community-based educators and licensed teachers create strong partnerships with the schools, families, and community leaders to ensure access to a variety of enrichment activities.
